ROBERT L. SHELL PORTAGE, IN Robert L. Shell "Bob", age 77, of Portage, formerly of Hobart, Winamac and Fayetteville, AR, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2009. Bob graduated from Hobart High School in 1949 and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Masco Corp. and traveled extensively as a project manager for the company. Bob was a 32nd Degree Mason at M.L. McClelland Masonic Lodge #357 Hobart and a member of American Legion Post 54 Hobart. Bob was preceded in death by his parents: Morris and Pauline Shell; two brothers: Rex Allen Shell and Raymond Shell; and stepsister, Wynona (Dick) Childress. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jo Lee Shell; daughters: Shirley (Marc) Campbell, Janet Shell and Rebecca (Michael) Adams; son, Robert W. Shell; brother, Ivan Roy (Mary) Shell; grandchildren: Marc Aaron Campbell, Stephen Paul (Karen) Campbell, Steven Jacob Craig, Dallas Corwin and Joshua Adams; great grandchildren: Jack and Sarah Campbell and Raine Craig; sister-in-law, Janet (Percy) Preble; uncle, Melvin Chaney; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. from the Kraft Funeral Services and Crematory, 370 N. County Line Road, Hobart, IN. Interment at Calvary Cemetery. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Monday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Masonic service at 7:00 p.m. Monday. In lieu of flowers, donations to VNA of Porter County would be appreciated. (219) 942-9866.
