ALFRED "LEROY" ROMINE VALPARAISO, IN Alfred "LeRoy" Romine, 75 of Valparaiso, passed away on February 22, 2013. LeRoy was born on December 27, 1937 in Valparaiso to Samuel and Clara (Harsha) Romine. On July, 24, 1971, in Angola, IN, he married Sharon Nedele. LeRoy owned and operated L & S Metal, before retiring. He was also a member of the Porter County Sheriff's Mounted Posse and always enjoyed horses. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; and sister, Ruby Tucker of Valparaiso. He is also survived by his great nephew, Matthew Miller; and great niece, Rachel Miller, both of Valparaiso. LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents; and eight siblings: Sam, Lowell, Charles, June, Faye, Kathryn, Donna, and Loretta. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Bartholomew Funeral Home, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM, with funeral services immediately following the visitation. Rev. Rodney Rudd will be officiating. The burial will be private. The family has asked in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
