Amos R. Schultz, Jr., 59, of Valparaiso, passed away Monday, February 11, 2013. He was born August 11, 1953 in Valparaiso, the son of Amos and Helen (Nuss) Schultz, Sr. Amos worked for the water department and was a U.S. Navy veteran, a life member of the VFW Post 988, the Eagles Lodge #2517, and the American Legion Post 94. He enjoyed doing crosswords, fishing and was a member of various softball leagues over the years. Surviving is his daughter, Kendra (fiance David Riley) Schultz of Phoenix, AZ; mother Helen Schultz; sister, Amy (Greg) Wiechmann of Greenfield, IN; brother, Doug (Jean) Schultz of Milan, MI; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife, Lori, in 2006; his father; and a sister, Julie. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 7:00 PM at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St., Valparaiso with Pastor Mike Eddy officiating.
