Brooke Mieczenkowski, 23, of Valparaiso, formerly of Chesterton, passed from this life into eternity to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 . Brooke was born in Valparaiso on October 25, 1989 to John and Lori Mieczenkowski, Jr. who survive. Also surviving is her grandmother, Edith Mieczen- kowski; aunts: Barb (Terry) Nowlin and Diane (Mike) Hall; uncles: Steve Vitoux, Butch (Chris) Wilgus, and Damon (Debra) Wilgus; and many cousins and friends. Preceded in death by her grandparents: John Mieczenkowski, Sr. and Dave and Audrey Wilgus. Brooke worked as a cashier and also volunteered at the animal shelter. She loved all animals, especially her precious cat Felix. She also loved movies, sweets, fishing, and swimming. Brooke will be forever loved and dearly missed by her family and many friends. Visitation Sunday, March 10, 2013 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St., Valparaiso. Funeral services Monday, March 11, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Valley Baptist Church, 255 Rigg Road, Valparaiso with Pastor Denny Smith officiating. Burial to follow at Angelcrest Cemetery, Valparaiso.
