FRANK J. BATLINER HIGHLAND, IN
Frank J. Batliner, age 72, of Highland, passed away Thursday March 10, 2011. He is survived by his brothers and sisters: Hedy (Hilard) Paulik of Highland; Theresa Batliner of Highland; Mary Jo (Lou) Harding of Dyer; Emil (Virginia) Batliner of Hebron; Richard (Donna) Batliner of Merrillville; Elizabeth Kelley of NH; Irma (Dale Jr.) Christenson of Cedar Lake; and Rosa (late Lee) Mazzocco of Crown Point; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. Preceded in death by his brother, John (late Kathryn) Batliner. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday March 14, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St. James the Less Catholic Church, 9640 Kennedy Ave., Highland with Fr. Keith Virus officiating. Frank will lie in state at the church from 9:30 AM until time of service. At rest St. Joseph Cemetery Hammond. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, March 13, 2011 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave. (corner of Main and Kennedy) Schererville. Prayer service 4:30 PM Sunday. Frank was a lifelong area resident, member of St. James the Less Catholic Church and retired from Inland Steel Company with 37 years of service; member of the 25 Year Club. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran and stood Honor Guard at the inauguration of John F. Kennedy. Frank left a legacy for life to be lived with Grace, Dignity, Acceptance and a love for all.
