HELEN DEGROOT ALLEN MARCO ISLAND, FL FORMERLY OF SOUTH HOLLAND, IL Helen DeGroot Allen (nee Place), age 69 of Marco Island, FL, formerly of South Holland, IL, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2010. She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony DeGroot and Ray Allen; loving mother of Douglas (Tracie), David (Shannon), and Dawn DeGroot; dear grandmother of five. Visitation will be Friday, June 4, 2010 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home, 649 E. 162nd St., South Holland, IL. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at First Reformed Church, 15924 South Park Ave., South Holland, IL with services conducted by Rev. Michael Canada and Mr. Jim DeGroot. Interment will be held before the service at 9:30 a.m. at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Lansing, IL.
