James S. Adams Highland James S. Adams, 74, formerly of Highland, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2003. He is survived by his wife Carol, of 26 years; two sons: Eric (Deannie) Adams of Dyer and Woody (Mary) Colclasure of Cedar Lake; three daughters, Kathy (Ron) Toren of Highland, Gail (Pete) Churitch of Griffith and Krys Hannsz of Lowell; 11 grandchildren; two brothers Dale (Marilyn) Adams and Larry Adams, both of Maryland. He was preceded in death by his daughter Lori Adams; and also by his dog Buster who he deeply cared about. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 2, 2004 at 9:30 a.m. from the Kuiper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Curry officiating. Burial, Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday, January 1, 2004, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road), Highland, Indiana. Mr. Adams was a member of the Church of Christ in Monticello; and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Highland. Retired in Auto Finance and Insurance. A veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
