JAMES L. BLACK HAMMOND, IN James L. Black, age 80, of Hammond, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2013. He is survived by his brother, Leonard (late Hazel) Black, of Calumet City; nephew, Michael (Sharon) Myszak, of Munster; nieces: Patricia Myszak, of Highland, Lucy (Rich) Spitale, of Hammond, Jean (James) Drudge, of Munster, and Laura (Danny Wolfe) Myszak, of Hammond; 11 great nieces and nephews; nine great great nieces and nephews; aunt, Isabel (late Lou) Ulbrich, of New Lenox, IL. Preceded in death by his wife, Florence (nee Bernacki); parents Emma and Linz Black; sister, Ruth Myszak. Services were private and entrusted to Solan Pruzin Funeral Home Hammond. James was laid to rest with his wife at St. John Cemetery Hammond. Mr. Black retired from LTV Steel with over 25 years of service. He was also a caterer for the K of C Hall St. Alfred Council Hammond. James was an avid Chicago Bears, Sox and Blackhawks fan.
