JULIO A. ORTIZ HOBART, IN
Julio A. Ortiz of Hobart, IN passed away on December 3, 2013 of Scleroderma at the age of 59. He was a retired steelworker from ArcelorMittal after 37 years of service. Julio was preceded in death by his father, Julio J. Ortiz. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Adriana Ortiz; three children: Rosa Ortiz, Anthony Ortiz (Niki), and Erica Sylvia (Ryan); his mother, Rosa Ortiz of Florida, and Aracellis Castellano; three grandchildren; six brothers; and one sister, Abby. Julio was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who found the greatest joy in his family and grandchildren. He loved helping others as he always counted his blessings and knew he was more fortunate than a lot of people. He loved the game of golf. Julio's family and friends are invited to visitation services at Memory Lane Funeral Chapel, 6305 W. Lincoln Highway (US 30), Crown Point, IN on Saturday, December 7, 2013 from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. A service will be held at 3:00 p.m. in the Memory Lane Funeral Home chapel.
