KENNETH E. McGILL HOBART, IN Kenneth E. McGill, age 81, of Hobart, passed away suddenly Thursday, April 4, 2013 at home. Kenneth had been a Hobart resident for 16 years and was formerly of Illinois. He was retired from RexNord Manufacturing and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Hobart. Ken was an avid golfer, diehard Cubs fan, and bingo volunteer at St. Mary Medical Center. Ken is survived by his loving wife, Lois Zander-McGill; two sons: Jeffrey (JoAnn) McGill of East Hazel Crest, IL and Mark (late Casey) McGill of Palos Heights, IL; daughter, Lynne Stasiak of East Hazel Crest, IL; step-children: Douglas (Brenda) Zander of Valparaiso, Karin (Joseph) Doyle of Chesterton and Guy (Victoria) Zander of Thornton, IL; grandchildren: Justin and Andrew McGill, Brandon Stasiak, Cliff and Jenna Zander, and Dawn (Peter) Kujawa, Mike Doyle, and Jessica (Steve) Schrenk; five great grandchildren; sister, Charlotte (David) Ellison of Ventura, CA; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sharon (Wolf) McGill; and brothers: Richard and William McGill. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Leukemia Society of America would be appreciated. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart with Rev. Jonathan Dosser officiating. Burial will follow on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Iroquois Memorial Park in Watseka, IL.
