PEGGY YIANKES LOS ANGELES, CA FORMERLY SCHERERVILLE Peggy Yiankes, 55 of Los Angeles, CA, formerly of Schererville, IN, passed away Monday, March 25, 2013. She was born in Gary, IN, on October 31,1957 to the late Kostas and Irene (Pahos) Yiankes. Peggy graduated from Merrillville High School, and worked as a legal secretary for the majority of her career. She also worked as a Mail Carrier for the US Postal Service in Northwest Indiana. Peggy was a loving, compassionate, and generous woman. Her utmost pride and joy is the legacy she leaves behind, her beautiful daughter, Stephanie Bixeman. Peggy loved all types of music, and especially enjoyed attending live concerts with family and friends. She is survived by siblings: Joy Burrell, Nick Yiankes, Julie Sepiol, and Deno (Marlene) Yiankes; as well as niece and nephews: Nicole, Gary, and Steven Burrell; godson, Daniel Sepiol and Alex and Eric Yiankes. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 11:00 AM directly at St. Iakovos Greek Orthodox Church, 36W 700N, Valparaiso with the Rev. James Greanias officiating. Burial to follow at Angelcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, 5:00-8:00 PM at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, with a Trisagion Service at 7:00 PM.
