PHYLLIS JEAN SPRINGSTEEN LOWELL, IN Phyllis J. Springsteen, 78, of Lowell, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 30, at Chicagoland Christian Village in Crown Point. She was born on October 27, 1934 in Attica, IN, to Lawrence A. and Ida (Meyer) Lashbrook. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Jack, son James E., and Husband James A. Springsteen. She is survived by sons: Andy (Gwen) and John W.; two brothers: Robert (Ann) of Georgia and Larry (Theresa) of Demotte. Phyllis was Crossing Guard for the Lowell Police Department and Tri-Creek School Corporation for 43 years. She was active in V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and the Eastern Star. Phyllis was well-known throughout the Lowell community for her love and dedication as Crossing Guard, housewife and volunteer. Private services and cremation were conducted by Sheets Funeral Home in Lowell.
