Robert "Bob" Aimone, age 56 of Portage, passed away Monday, March 11, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Sue (nee Voloch); three children: Joseph Aimone, Kimberly Aimone, and Danielle Aimone, all of Portage; brother, Ray (Linda) Aimone of Merrillville; nieces; nephews; and father and mother-in-law: Andrew and Helen Voloch. Preceded in death by parents: Albina and Joseph Aimone; and uncle, Joe Gayer. Bob was a member of Nativity of Our Savior Catholic Church, Portage. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of American Legion Post #289, and the U.S.W.A. Local 1011. Bob was a graduate of Lew Wallace High School, Class of 1974. He retired from Mittal Steel Company. Bob also worked for Metro Metal, Pullman Standard, and was a small-engine mechanic at the Griffith Airport for G&N Aircraft. Family and friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service, 2700 Willowcreek Road, Portage on Thursday, March 14, 2013 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. with an American Legion service at 3:30 p.m. and a prayer service at 4:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 15, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. from Pruzin Brothers Chapel and 10:00 a.m. from Nativity of Our Savior Catholic Church, 2949 Willowcreek Road, Portage with Rev.
