Roger Marion Domanski, age 78, of Lowell, formerly of Griffith and Hammond, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 14, 2012. Roger will be dearly missed and remembered by his loving family: wife, Agnes Ann Domanski; loving daughter, Beverly A. (David) Shavey; dear son, Michael J. (Stephanie) Domanski; seven grandchildren: Nicholas, Ellisa, and Emily Shavey, Meagan, Jessica, Benjamin, and Aiden Domanski; three great grandchildren: Lillian, Maximus, and Parker; dear siblings: Donald (Margaret) Domanski, Joanne (late William) Peters, Beverly (Dennis) Wilhelm, Shirley (Daniel) Wilk, and Sandra (James) Golonka; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in death by his parents: John and Marie Domanski. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, November 19, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. DIRECTLY at St. Mary Church 525 N. Broad Street, Griffith, IN with Rev. Theodore Mens officiating. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery in Calumet City, IL. Visitation Sunday from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Anthony & Dziadowicz Funeral Home, 9445 Calumet Ave. (at 45th St.), Munster, IN, and on Monday morning 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. at the church. Roger went to All Saints Grade School and Hammond High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps with the opportunity to climb Mt. Fiji twice while stationed in Japan. Roger retired after 43 years of service from Ford Motor Company. He was extremely pleased to be blessed with his three great grandchildren. His family sincerely thanks the nurses at St. Anthony Hospice for their loving care of Roger. In Roger's memory, donations may be made to St. Anthony Hospice, Crown Point.
