STEVEN VICIAN CROWN POINT, IN Steven Vician, age 75, of Crown Point, passed away September 14, 2012. Steve was a retired manager of Ford Motor Company with over 40 years of service, and a member of the Ford Motor Company Association of Retirees. He was a member of Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church and it's Holy Name Society, and he sold fruit every weekend for several years to aid in the fundraising for the new church. Steve was an Usher and Eucharistic Minister for his church as well. He was a member of the Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge 170 and a proud member of the Club of Retired Croatians. Steve was a graduate of Lew Wallace High School, Class of 1954. Steve is survived by his wife of 54 years, Phyllis Vician; daughter, Chelley (Larry Davis) Vician; sons: Kevin (Julie) Vician, Mark Vician, and Todd (Michelle) Vician; four grandchildren: Jessica Davis, Lucy Vician, Tucker Vician and Lucas Vician; one sister, Fran (Cliff) Garris; brother-in-law, Terry (Maryalyce) Councilor; nieces and nephews: Chirstine Grennes, Jerry Grennes, Amy Garris Evans, Kathy Garris, Philip Councilor, and Monica Wohlberg; also many other family members and dear friends. Mr. Vician was preceded in death by his parents: William and Margaret Vician; sister, Barbara Grennes; and in-laws: Fred and Marie Councilor. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 10:00 AM directly at Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church, 8303 Taft Street, Merrillville, IN with Father Peter Muha officiating. Visitation for Mr. Vician will be Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th FL, New York, NY 10001, St. Jude House Development Department, 12490 Marshall Street, Crown Point, IN 46307, St. Anthony Hospice, 203 West Franciscan Drive Crown Point, IN 46307, or Masses of the church of your choice.
