Wayne was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church of Hammond. He was a graduate from Purdue University in Mechanical Engineering in 1938, where he was a member of the Theta Tau Fraternity and business manager of their Theatre Guild. Wayne belonged to the Birch Lake Yacht Club and won many sailing trophies. He retired from Amoco in Whiting and Chicago. In his retirement, he and Nancy enjoyed cruises and winters in Florida, where he sailed on Lake Tarpon. Wayne was an avid jogger, tennis player, and cyclist, cycling 11 miles from Crown Point to Highland at the age of 93. He belonged to Garfield Lodge #569 F. & AM., Highland, and the Ancient Accepted Scottish Right Valley of South Bend. He enjoyed going to breakfast at the Main Street Cafe and dinner at the Island Restaurant, Crown Point. A special thanks to Senior helpers of Crown Point. Wayne loved his wife and family.
