Lauretta Illa Angerman, age 93, a longtime resident of Crown Point, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 15, 2012 at Wittenberg Village, Lutheran Life Communities. Lauretta was born in Crown Point on May 21, 1919. She is survived by children: Richard (Linda) Angerman of Crown Point, Dr. Robert Angerman of Merrillville, and Dawn (Glen) Scudder of Mesa, AZ; loving grandchildren: Kristine (Robert) Bikoff, Greg (Rachelle) Angerman, Todd (LeAnn) Angerman, Ryan (Sara Moen) Angerman, Bryon (Carol) Angerman, Devin Angerman, James (Leslie) Vonderhaar, and John (Tonya) Vonderhaar; 12 beautiful great grandchildren; ex son-in-law, Robert Vonderhaar; many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind the many friends she has made over the years at Wittenberg Village, including caregivers, staff and residents. Lauretta was reunited in heaven with her husband, Robert; parents: Harry and Helena Meyer; stepmother, Helena (Lena) Meyer; and nine brothers and sisters. Lauretta was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Crown Point and Ladies Aid. She was born and raised on the Meyer family farm in Crown Point. She was an avid reader and loved to do crossword puzzles. Lauretta also loved her beloved Chicago Cubs. She had a very dry sense of humor, quick wit and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Family and friends may call at Pruzin & Little Funeral Service, 811 E. Franciscan Dr. (south of St. Rd. 231 on St. Rd. 55), Crown Point, Friday, October 19, 2012 from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 20, 2012 DIRECTLY from Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 250 S. Indiana Ave., Crown Point with Rev. David Kipp officiating. There will be one hour of visitation at church prior to services. Private interment services will be held for the family at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville.Family and friends may share an online condolence or memory at:
