SANDRA LEE BARDOCZI (NEE SZMUTKO) HAMMOND, IN Sandra “Sandy” Lee Bardoczi, age 71, of Hammond, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 27, 2014 at her home surrounded by her husband and three loving children. She is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, Martin “Bob” Bardoczi, Sr.; three children: Martin “Bob” Bardoczi, Jr., Margaret (Joseph) Einsele, and Anna (Bill) Vanover; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister, Joni (Donald) Kasper; one brother, Dennis (Debbie) Szmutko; numerous nieces, nephews, many dear friends; and her precious “babies”, devoted companions, her dogs: “Barney”, “Sammy”, and “Maggie”. Preceded in death by her parents: Joseph and Margaret Szmutko; and one sister, Dolores Jones. Sandy was a lifetime resident of the Calumet Area and a faithful member of Holy Trinity Hungarian Church in East Chicago. She was an excellent cook and loved to bake delicious treats for her family. Sandy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister who will be dearly missed by all who knew her. In accordance with Sandy's wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation will be followed by a private family service and burial at St. John Cemetery in Hammond at a later date. Memorials may be made in her memory to Holy Trinity Hungarian Church, 4759 McCook Ave., East Chicago, IN 46312.
