ROBERT L. CRANE CALUMET CITY, IL
Robert L. Crane, 92, of Calumet City, IL passed away on Friday, February 7, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Bertha (nee Kalvaites); sons: Robert (Patricia) Crane and Richard (Barbara) Crane; daughter, Carolyn (Joseph) Salus; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; brother, Russell (Mary Ellen) Crane; sister-in-law, Rosella Crane; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his grandson, David West Crane; brothers: Wilbur (Margaret) Crane and Donald Crane; and sister, Marilyn (Charles) Gellersen. Visitation will be on Sunday, February 16, 2014 from 2:00-7:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave., Munster, IN and on Monday from 10:30-11:00 at the church. Funeral services will be Monday, February 17, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 8955 Columbia Ave., Munster, IN. Interment will be at Chapel Lawn memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN. Robert served with the U.S. Army during World War II and was a retired Machinist from Ortman Fluid Power. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and American Legion Post 330 in Calumet City, IL, who will Post Colors on Sunday at 6:00 PM and hold Military Honors on Monday.
