MICHAEL SHAUN MALONE JR. VALPARAISO, IN
Michael Shaun Malone Jr., 22, of Valparaiso, passed away on February 22, 2014. Michael was born on June 17, 1991, in Merrillville, IN to Michael S. and Beverly L. (Deakin) Malone, Sr., who both survive him. He worked as a production team leader for Ford Motor Co. for two years. He belonged to the United Auto Workers Local 588 (U.A.W.). Michael was an avid golfer and always enjoyed fishing, and had a lifelong passion for cars. He was also a 2010 Andrean High School graduate. After high school he attended Ivy Tech for welding in Lafayette. He is survived by his parents of Valparaiso; sister, Michelle L. (Nick) Lewandowski of Michigan; maternal grandparents, Joseph “Joe” (Regina) Deakin Jr. of Schererville; and paternal grandparents, William “Bill” (Hazel) Malone of Valparaiso. He is also survived by aunts and uncles: Joe and Traci Deakin III of Cedar Lake, Deborah and Jeff Brittain of Indianapolis, Cynde and Rob Kolicius of Crown Point, Robert and Debbie Deakin of Ohio, Owen and Vicki Malone of Kentucky; numerous cousins; and loving dog, Bo Dogg. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at Bartholomew Funeral Home from 1:00-7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February, 27, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Bartholomew Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Tanner officiating. Entombment will be at Graceland Cemetery.
