SARAH ROSE REINERT HANNA, IN Sarah Rose Reinert, 35, of Hanna, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014 at the VNA Hospice Center. She was born November 24, 1978 in Blue Island, IL, attended St. Joseph School in Homewood until 1992, graduated from Marian Catholic High School in 1996, received her B.S. in Psychology from Valparaiso University in 2000, then her B.S.N. and R.N. in 2002. Sarah was currently Admissions R.N. for the VNA of Porter County and had previously served at Porter Memorial Hospital, I.U. LaPorte Hospital and Michiana Behavioral Health in Plymouth as a B.S.P.N. She was also active with the Ladies of Orak Shrine in Michigan City. On June 21, 2003, Sarah married Todd Reinert who survives along with children: Todd Reinert, II of Valparaiso, Sean Reinert of Chesterton, Tarren "Bug" Reinert of Hanna; parents: David and Vicki Lechner of Chicago; brother, Edward W. (April) Lechner of Drummonds, TN; nephews: Andrew and Matthew Lechner, mother-in- law, Suzette Reinert of Valparaiso; and grandmother-in-law, Charmaine Reinert of Valparaiso. She was preceded in death by her sister, Ann Elizabeth Lechner. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. CST at Wanatah Funeral Chapel, 309 N. Main Street, Wanatah, IN with Rev. David Fuller officiating. Burial to follow at Hanna Cemetery. Visitation Monday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. CST. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
