She really enjoyed watching her husband, children and grandchildren at sporting events. She traveled across the U.S., Canada and Europe, making new friends and cheering her children on in her favorite sport, hockey. One of her fondest memories was experiencing the winter Olympics in Lake Placid in 1980 with her dear friends. Patricia was an avid reader , and she truly enjoyed visiting and donating to the Calumet Area Humane Societies. She was fondly referred to as "Grandma Pat" by not only her grandchildren, but by many other kids in the ice rinks, because of her continued support of youth hockey. As an old family friend remarked, "Grandma Pat was the Gold Medal winner of hockey Moms"! Memorial contributions to the Calumet Area Humane Society (421 45th Ave., Munster, IN 46321 or www.hscalumet.org) appreciated.
