ROSIE LUE PERSON (NEE COBB) EAST CHICAGO, IN
Rosie Lue Person (nee Cobb) of East Chicago, IN and Cincinnati, OH passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at 1:45AM. She was the fourth child born to the late Bennie F. and Nettie Turk Cobb. She attended the Great Hope School System in Midway, AL. Preceded in death by her husband, Early Lee Person; parents: Bennie and Nettie Cobb; brother: Homer C. Cobb; sisters: Annie C. Washington, Rev. Nettie K. Davis and Thetta Dent; two son-in-laws: B.F. Collins, Jr. and Larry Rias; four grandchildren: and two great grandchildren. Precious memories will be cherished by her seven children: Rev. Oscar Cobb of Gary, IN; Barbara (Semmie) Scott, Nettie Jo Collins and Earl Leonard Person of East Chicago, IN; Annie Mae (Terry) Lawson- Sloan, Ruby Mae Rias and Rosie (Cedric) Battle of Cincinnati, Ohio; son/grandson, Kenny Lofton of Los Angeles; 20 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; six sisters: Melvie Turner, Midway AL; Ruby (Milton) Harris, Rochester, NY; Gracie Perkins, Chicago, IL; Sadie Cobb-Smith, Gary, IN; Eunice (Samuel) Tensley, East Chicago, IN and Dorothy (Bruce) Jackson, VA; one sister-in-law, Annie D. Hall, East Chicago, IN and first cousins, Turk and Cobb Families. Visitation will be Friday, March 7, 2014; 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., family hour 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 8th, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. All at the Zion Missionary Baptist Church 3939 Drummond St. East Chicago, Indiana 46312; Rev.
