ADELE M. SCHULTZ (NEE MUELLER) LANSING, IL Adele M. Schultz, age 101, of Lansing, IL, passed away March 14, 2014. She is survived by her son, Duane (Sandy) Schultz; seven grandchildren: Sheryl Schaefer, Mark Schultz, Lori (Tom) Sabal, Ken (Julie) Schultz, Kurt Imes, Lisa (Larry) Tryon, and Todd (Kelley) Imes; along with many nieces and nephews. Adele was preceded in death by her husband, Milton; son, Allen; and her daughter, Jean. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 17, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church (corner of Wentworth Ave. and Randolph Street), Lansing, IL. Burial will follow at Oak Glen Lutheran Cemetery, Lansing, IL. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Sunday from 3:00-8:00 PM at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Road, Lansing, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, or to Hospice of the Calumet Area, 600 Superior Ave., Munster, IN 46321. Adele was the oldest living Lansing resident that was born in Lansing. Her grandfather was one of the founding fathers of the Village of Lansing. Adele retired after working as a secretary, she was a lifelong member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church where she was active with the Ladies Aid, Lutheran Braille Workers, the Senior Pioneers for Christ, and the choir.
