AMADOR GUERRA "JOE" HOBART, IN
Amador "Joe" Guerra, age 75 of Hobart, previously of Hammond and East Chicago, passed away peacefully at home March 23, 2014. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Inland Steel. Amador was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be greatly missed. Amador was preceded in death by his daughter, Lilian Guerra. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Lilian; children: Joseph (Michelle) Guerra, John "Albert" Guerra, Julio "Alfred" (Heidi), and Gina (Keith) Beck; nine grandchildren: Zachery, Tyler, Madison, Elena, Noah, Laura, Maria, McKenna, and Mason; seven siblings: Santa (Genaro "Lito") Salazar, Alfredo (Olivia) Guerra, Hector (Alicia) Guerra, Jose (Elvia) Guerra, Mary Cantu, Lilia (Roberto) Marin, and Luis (Yolanda) Guerra; several nieces and nephews. Friends may visit with Amador's family on Wednesday March 26, 2014 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 701 E. 7th St., Hobart, IN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 2447 Putnam St., Lake Sation, IN beginning with a prayer service from Burns at 9:15 a.m. Interment at Chapel Lawn Cemetery. www.burnsfuneral.com
