TIMOTHY J. ZAREMBA VALPARAISO, IN FORMERLY OF HAMMOND Timothy John Zaremba, age 72, of Valparaiso, passed away peacefully April 22, 2014 at his residence with his loving family and wife of 50 years at his side. Timothy was born on February 15, 1942 in Hammond to the late Benjamin and Annette (Simale) Zaremba. In 1964, he married Sally (Rohl) Zaremba; she survives in Valparaiso. Also surviving are his children: Kevin Zaremba (Ed Jacobs), Cheri (Steve) Kubiak, Christopher Zaremba, Kenneth Zaremba, Keith Zaremba, Carrie (Chris) Foss, Catherine (David) Strubel, Cynthia (Mike) Rupp, Candice (Mike) Natzke, Casey Zaremba, and Karen (Steve) Doorn; grandchildren: Ashley, Danielle, Hannah, Trevor, Brianna, Alec, Owen, Cameron, Ben, Cooper, Charlotte, Caleb, Kylie, Anaia, Hudson and Audrey; brothers: Jeff (Diane) Zaremba, Jay (Patti) Zaremba, and Buddy Simale; a sister- in-law, Peggy Zaremba; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers Allen and Kenneth Zaremba. Mr. Zaremba was a 1960 Morton High School graduate. He then attended and graduated from St. Joseph College in East Chicago. He served as President of Fuel Supply for NIPSCO, retiring in 2001 after 31 years of service. After retirement, he and his wife enjoyed vacationing to Florida and grandparenthood. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Seton of Valparaiso, Gary Slovak Club and Gary Sportsman's Club. Timothy was an avid Green Bay Packers Fan, most of all he was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, who emulated a true family man by his lifestyle. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given towards the Wounded Warrior Project. Visitation will be on Friday, April 25, 2014 from 2:00-8:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 S. Cline Ave, Schererville, IN 46375) and again on Saturday, April 26th at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church (509 Division Road, Valparaiso, IN 46385) at 10:00 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM.
