CHARLES E. BRADACH MERRILLVILLE, IN
Charles E. Bradach, age 91, a longtime resident of Merrillville, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 of congestive heart failure. He was born to the late Michael and Cecelia (nee Sporcic) Bradach, August 17, 1922, in Gary, IN. Charles went to Froebel High School. He was married to the late Regina T. Dombrowski on October 25, 1947 at St. Hedwig's Church in Gary. Charles is beloved and survived by his three daughters: Lorraine Ackerman of Hobart, Janet Ashby of Merrillville, and Judy (Michael) Starasinic of Chesterton. (During the last five years, dad resided with Judy and Mike in Chesterton.) He also has six grandchildren: Kimberly Huckins, Kandi Hall, Michael Ackerman, Carey (Christine) Ackerman, Mitchell Brown, and Scott (Tynesha) Brown; five great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews, plus their children. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, May 3, 2014, 10:00 AM DIRECTLY at Our Lady Consolation Catholic Church, 8303 Taft St., Merrillville, IN 46410 with Rev. Peter J. Muha officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 9:30 AM until time of Service. Charles will be laid to rest at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 2, 2014 at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN 46375 (Corner Main and Kennedy) from 3:00-8:00 PM. Charles was employed at U.S. Steel Company for over 30 years. He served in the Signal Corps attached to the U.S. Air Force, ranked a Technical Sergeant. He was stationed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii as a radar man and served our country for a little over three years during WWII. Charles was an avid stamp and coin collector for a number of years.
