SHIRLEY LEE SPENCER MOSER VALPARAISO, IN Shirley Lee Spencer Moser, 87, of Valparaiso, went to be with her heavenly Father on Monday, May 5, 2014. She was born on September 13, 1926 to Edgar and Olga Harris and graduated from Boone Grove High School. Shirley had been a founding member of Valparaiso Assembly of God Church, now Heartland Christian, and remained a lifetime member where she also served as a Sunday school teacher, choir member, Women's Ministry and lead Sunday services at Canterbury Nursing Home and the Porter County Home which gave her much joy. She had a passion for making porcelain dolls, crocheting and sewing, but being with her family was always her greatest love. On October 14, 1944 she married Charles Spencer who preceded her in death in 1996 and was also preceded in death by her second husband, Albert Moser. Survivors include her children: Charles (Rosemary) Spencer, Gene (Nova) Spencer, Shirley Ann Spencer, Olga Renee Chaisson; her loving granddaughter/caregiver, Jessica Poludniak; brother, Don Harris, sister, Betty Voegtle; seven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Brookover, and brothers: David, Leo and Harold Harris. A funeral service will be held Friday 10:30 a.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso with entombment to follow at Graceland mausoleum.
