TONY CHARETTE HOBART, IN Tony Charette, age 90 of Hobart passed away peacefully on May 5, 2014. He was born on November 10, 1923 to the late Peter and Facunda Gomez. He was a proud and determined veteran, who served in the Navy during World War II at the Pacific Theater. Tony retired from Ford Motor company where he had worked as a line inspector. He is survived by his four children: Tony (Peggy) Charette, Garry (Lisa) Charette, Rosanna (Randy) Sopher and Sue (Larry) Suarez and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson: one brother, Selso Gomez; loving companion, Eloise Ramirez and her sons, daughters, and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Charette; one brother, Peter A. Gomez Jr.; one sister, Manuela Lopez; and two grandsons: Larry Suarez Jr and Jacob Charette. Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, May 9, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with military honors performed at 7:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart.
