RICHARD D. MARROW PORTAGE, IN
Richard Dale Marrow, age 85, of Portage, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2014. He is survived by two sons: Jack (Mary) Marrow of Valparaiso and Allen (Carol) Campbell of Portage; two brothers: Guinn Marrow of Tennessee and Sam Marrow of Alabama; two sisters: Kitty Nichols of LaPorte and Helen Yoder of Tennessee; five grandchildren: Erik Marrow of Valparaiso, Steven (Sarah) Marrow of LaPorte, Morgan Marrow of Louisiana, Leanne Ferrell and Randy (Cathy) Campbell both of Portage; seven great grandchildren: Leona, Gabriel, Emma, Ayden, Nathan, Natalie, and Tabathia. Preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Marrow; one son, Bobby Marrow; and several brothers and sisters. Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War. He was a surviving Prisoner of War and received a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. He was also retired from U.S. Steel with 36 years of service. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 11:00 AM from the Kraft Funeral Services and Crematory, 370 N. County Line Road, Hobart, IN. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Friday from 2:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
