Dr. Murray Stasick, loving husband and father, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014, at the age of 88. As a resident of Crown Point , IN , he is survived by his wife, Joan Stasick; children: Michael Stasick, Roxy Reynolds, Debbie (John) Riordan; grandchildren: Janel (John) Brack, Justin Riordan, and Shaun Riordan; great grandchild: Wyatt Riordan; sister: Natalie (Herb) Gronauer; and, numerous nieces and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Ann Stasick; and nephew, Stephen Gronauer. Funeral services will be held, on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at Fagen-Miller Funeral Home 8580 Wicker Ave. St. John , IN , with John Bradshaw, officiating. Friends may meet with the family at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Murray came to the United States from Toronto Canada in 1949 to practice medicine. He was associated with Munster Community Hospital and St. Margaret Hospital for over 60 years. Even though he never sought his American citizenship, he volunteered his services during the Korean Conflict. For many years he was active in the Calumet City Lion's Club. While living a very active professional life and serving his community, he always found time to participate in his favorite pastime. Office is closed. GONE FISHING!
