JOHN H. FLADELAND, SR. SCHERERVILLE, IN John H. Fladeland, Sr., 64, of Schererville, IN passed away Monday June 2, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; children: Lisa Green, John (Amber Bukovic) Fladeland, Jr., and Mathew (Amanda) Fladeland; grandchildren: Rozalynn, Hannah, and Randy "Junior" Green, John Fladeland, III, and Ebin and Aiden Fladeland. He is also survived by his sister, Madeline Best; nieces and nephews, including Julie Callahan, Mark Christenson, and Jason Fladeland; and his dogs: Max and Tuffy. John was a loyal friend to many, especially Sunny and Hoogie. He was preceded in death by his parents: George and Margaret Fladeland; and brothers: George, Garry, Matthew, and Mark. Visitation will be Thursday June 5, 2014 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, 8580 Wicker Ave., St. John, IN and on Friday at St. Maria Goretti Church, 500 Northgate Dr., Dyer, IN from 9:30 a.m. until the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Charles Niblick officiating. Cremation will follow. Mr. Fladeland was Vice-president of C&C Industrial. He was a member of the Schererville Town Council from 1986 to 2002 and was a past president of the council. John was a former member of the B.Z.A. and the Utility Board and a current member of the Board of Safety for the Town of Schererville. He was a GTO and Muscle Car enthusiast and a member of the Calumet Corvette Club. www.fagenmiller.com
