JAMES A. JOHNSON "SHAGGY" HAMMOND, IN James A. Johnson, age 20, of Hammond, passed away Tuesday June 3, 2014. He is survived by his parents: Angela (Michael Bleu) Johnson and Joshua Johnson; siblings: Samantha, Austin, Tommie, Mila, Spiro and Marina Johnson; grandparents: Rip and Bonnie Johnson, Audrey and Robert Warzyniak, and Glen (Chris) Kuiper; great grandmother, Joan Johnson; great grandfather, Raymond Warzyniak; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and good friends; and feline buddy, Smokey. Preceded in death by his great grandparents: Barbara and John Deliget, Len and June Baumann, Johnny Johnson and Dolores Warzyniak; and grandmother, Sandy Bleu-Harkin. James was an avid fisherman, loved to draw and enjoyed playing the guitar. He had a collection of hats and always had one on. James was devoted to his family, Sam and Jim were like peanut butter and jelly. He would often make time to help his brothers with their homework. James will be dearly missed by his loving family. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 5:00 PM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 7109 Calumet Ave., Hammond. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 12:00-6:00 PM at the funeral home. Cremation at Solan Pruzin Crematory to follow.
