ANDREW SCHULATZ MERRILLVILLE, IN Andrew Schulatz, age 42 of Merrillville, passed away suddenly Tuesday, June 10, 2014. Andrew was a graduate of Hobart High School, class of 1990. He belonged to the Carpenter's Union 1005. Andrew was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Earl McConnell; paternal grandparents: Andrew and Florence Schulatz; uncle, Andrew Schulatz; cousin, Valerie McConnell. He was a loving husband to his wife, Jessica and a devoted father to Alyssa, Alexis, Montana Rae, Andrew, and Sarah. Other survivors include his father, Richard Schulatz of Hobart; mother, Marilyn (William) Hood of Tennessee; grandmother, Mary McConnell of Crown Point; sister, Christina Butler of Hobart; father-in-law, Terry Warrick; mother-in-law, Sandra (Russell) Shields; brother-in- law, Joseph (Angela) Warrick; sisters-in-law: Jenny (Phil) Zandstra, Trista (Jesse) Clapper; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his loyal canine, Tonka. Friends may visit with Andrew's family on Friday, June 13, 2014 at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home with Father Joseph Vamos officiating. Interment at Calumet Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family or to the Andrew Schulatz Family Benefit Fund at Centier Bank.
