ALYCE M. HOEHN-LARSEN CROWN POINT, IN Alyce M. Hoehn-Larsen, age 81, of Crown Point formerly of Dyer and Calumet City, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2014, at Riley Hospice in Munster with her loving family at her side. Alyce was born October 6, 1932 in Minnesota to the late Charles and Helia (Nelson) Gilbert. She married Vernon Hoehn who also preceded her in death after 49 years of marriage. Survivors are her husband, Bud Larsen; children: Daniel Hoehn, Dr. John (Nancy) Hoehn, Rebecca (Tom) Adams, Tim (Beth) Hoehn; 10 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brother, Ray (Shirley) Gilbert and Jack (Judy) Larsen; brothers and sisters in law: Diane Rivers, Ron and Ruth Hoehn, Lou Hoehn, Betty Hoehn. Also surviving are step-children: Jim (Kim) Larsen, Ed (Tammy) Kallas and Theresa Kramer; six step-grandchildren; and two step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Mark Hoehn; and brother, Charles Gilbert. Alyce was a Registered Nurse for over 20 years with Our Lady of Mercy and St. Catherine Hospitals. Mrs. Hoehn-Larsen was an active member of Holy Shepherd Church of St. John, Grace Lutheran Church Dyer, First United Lutheran Church of Hammond. She was very involved in her church communities and neighborhood. She loved hosting events for her friends and her bunco group. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Shepherd Lutheran Church (9770 Keilman St. St. John, IN 46373). Visitation will be Monday, June 23, 2014 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 S. Cline Ave. Schererville, Indiana 46375). Burial will be at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
