James A. Oppolo Jr. age 40, of Crown Point, IN, passed away June 20, 2014 at his home. James is survived by his wife, Jessica Oppolo, nee Pavich; his son, James Soria; parents: James Sr. and Kathleen Oppolo, nee Sullivan; his sisters: Nicole (Brian) Jacobs and Lauren (David) Bukovac. He is also survived by his nieces and nephew: Ella, Anna, Avery, John and Isabel; many aunts, uncles and cousins; his mother-in-law, Suzanne Gillette; and several brothers and sisters-in-law. Jim was a dedicated 16 year employee of the Lake County Sheriff's Department. Most recently, he proudly served on the Marine Unit. He was outgoing and fun-loving and found the most pleasure in spending quality time with family and friends. Jim was loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed.
