GLENNA JANE WINGARD BLACK OAK, IN Glenna Jane Wingard, age 93, left to meet her Lord and Savior on July 2, 2014 . Glenna was born in Gillam Township, Jasper County, IN on September 2, 1920 to the late Albert and Rilda Poisel. Beloved wife of the late Jess R. Wingard for 58 years. Together they raised their three children in Black Oak, Indiana, Meta (Dan) Czazasty of Cassopolis, MI, Earl (Cindi) Wingard of Strasburg, MO and Nila (Phillip) Mann of Denver, CO. She was Grandmother to Christine Czazasty, Danette (Chris) Evans, David (Laurie) Mann, Keith (Katie) Wingard, Amanda (A.J.) Wingard, Caitlyn Wingard, and the late Phillip S. Mann. Great-grandmother to Christopher and Nicholas Evans, Olivia, Caleb, and Ethan Wingard, and Ella Mann. Loving sister to James Poisel of Crown Point , Indiana . Special Aunt to James, Mark, and Mike (Mary Ann) Poisel, and Kathy (Bob) Scott. Special Grandma to the Joe ( Alice ) Sowles family. Preceded in death by her sisters, Elma Zimmerman, Alberta and Olive Poisel. Glenna was a member of the South Haven Christian Church. Throughout her life she was active with the youth groups as a leader, host to many parties, and member of the mission committee which provided housing for visiting missionaries. She was a Deaconess and Sunday school teacher. Glenna was active in the community as a Cub Scout leader and member of the Ladies' Auxiliary Homemakers Association. She remained active working as the township assessor, inspector at the voting polls, and distributor for the Stanley Home Products, plus an Activity Director at the Highland Nursing Home and Cook at Camp LRCA . "Mrs. Wingard's home" was known as a safe haven to many of the children in the neighborhood. A funeral service will be held Tuesday 12:00 noon at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso with visitation preceding the service from 10 am - 12 noon. Burial service will take place Wednesday 10 am at Weston Cemetery, Rensselaer, IN. MoellerFuneralHome.com
