JOHN M. FRAME PORTAGE, IN John M. Frame, age 90, of Portage, IN passed away on July 14, 2014. He was born on August 31, 1923 in Clinton, IN to John T. and Virginia (Whitted) Frame, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his sons: Thomas (Pamela) Frame of Mesa, AZ, Jeffrey (Linda) Frame of Valparaiso, IN, Douglas (Pamela) Frame of Olive Branch, MS and John (Corrine) Frame II of Valparaiso, IN; daughters: Constance Mitchell of Valparaiso, IN, Jean Farley of Portage, IN, Mary Davis of Urbana, VA and Marsha (David) Suchanuk of Valparaiso, IN; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois M. Frame; brother, Russell W. Frame; son in law, James Mitchell. John was a United States Army Air Force Veteran, who recently visited the WWII Memorial in Washington DC with Chicago Honor Flight. Upon retiring from US Steel - Tubing Specialties, he drove a school bus for Portage Township Schools for 10 years. He also was a member of the American Legion Post 260 and a former Mason. John was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church in Lake Station. Funeral Service will be held Friday, July 18, 2014 at 10:00 am at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 6941 Central Ave., Portage IN 46368, with Pastor Roger Hartzler and Calvin D. Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow at Heritage Cemetery, Portage, IN. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2014 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
