SHIRLEY PATRICIA PRESSLEY HOBART / FORMERLY OF HAMMOND, IN Shirley Patricia Pressley, age 85, of Hobart and formerly of Hammond passed away Friday August 15, 2014 at the Chicagoland Christian Village in Crown Point. Shirley was born July 28, 1929 in East St. Louis, Missouri to the late Daniel and Nora May (Cochran) Miller. She was a homemaker and mother. Shirley also worked at Hammond Draperies and in the Century Mall Food Court. Shirley will be remembered by her family for her peanut butter cookies. Shirley is survived by her six children: Patricia Pocewicz, Sandra (Jerry) Good, Roy Pressley, James Pressley, Debra Pressley and Pamela (Eugene) Swartz; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews; and her cat, Maxine. She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Pressley; two sisters: Betty Maruszczak and Margie Miller; two brothers: Phil Miller and Danny Miller; and her beloved feline companion, Booju. Shirley wishes were to be cremated. Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel assisted Shirley's family with arrangements.
