Richard Gougeon Obituary
Richard Kenneth Gougeon passed away August 24, 2009. He was 78 years old. Richard was a decorated Marine Corps veteran of the Korean Conflict. He had a passion for jokes, trivia and his many collections. Richard was the loving husband for 54 years of Myra Jeanne; father of sons: Richard Mark (Carol) Gougeon and Paul Christopher (Anita) Gougeon; daughter, Andrea (Charles) Savoye; grandfather to: Crystal, Tommy, Graham, Regan and Autumn; great grandfather of: Zachary, Kaeleigh, Peyton, Dominic, Andrew, Tyler and Jasmine; and a friend to many. A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 27, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave., Schererville, IN. There will be a visitation from 10:30 a.m. until the 1:30 p.m. service time at the funeral home. Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Richard's name may be made to the College of the Ozarks, P.O. Box 17, Point Lookout, MO 65726. For funeral information, call (219) 365-9554.

Myra, Missy, Rick and Paul,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Richard was a true friend to my parents and I will always be indebted to him for the time he gave to bring my parents to the games when I played at North Park. I hope your sorrow will be lightened by the fond memories you have, I know our family thought the world of him
