NICHOLAS JOHN COX FORMERLY OF GRIFFITH, IN Nicholas John Cox, age 42, of Winter Haven, FL, formerly of Griffith, IN, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2008 after battling Crohn's Disease since his childhood. He is survived by his wife, Carol L. Cox; parents: John W. and Barbara Cox of Griffith, IN; brothers: John (Michelle) Cox of Hammond, Douglas (Teresa) Cox of Highland and Michael Cox of Valparaiso; sister, Angel Saberniak of Griffith; nieces and nephews: Julia, Anna, Timmy, Michael, Emily, Christopher, Megan, Mackenzie and Mary; stepchildren: Steve (Dawn) Buchanan and Christine Williams; grandchildren: Sandra, Cassie and Evan; great granddaughter, Sophia; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by his brother, Timothy John Cox; maternal grandparents: Nicholas B. and Adelia M. Barrar; and paternal grandparents; John W. and Georgia M. Cox. Nick graduated from Griffith High School in 1984 and was a former employee of the Hammond Division of Cranemasters, Inc. He was a wonderful artist and loved his tattoo studio. Nick was a collector of samurai swords, enjoyed woodworking and was an avid fisherman. He will always be in our hearts and never forgotten. "We love you, Nick and always will. May God grant you eternal rest and peace." A Mass and Memorial Service in Nick's memory will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials for final expenses may be sent to: Carol L.
