CAROL ANN GEIGER (NEE ESCOBEDO)
Carol Ann Geiger, age 69, passed into eternal life Tuesday, November 16, 2010 surrounded by her family. She is survived by two loving daughters: Carla (Greg) Sims and Annie (fiance Arnie Ellis) Wenckus; three loving grandchildren: Jeremiah (Hannah) Kiger, Joshua Kiger and Riley Wenckus; one great granddaughter, Gracie Kiger; two brothers: Frank (Joan) Kijewski and Anthony (Jackie) Escobedo; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her mother, Ann Joy and father, Anthony Escobedo; sister, Georgia Kucharski; brother, Sam Escobedo; and granddaughter, Elizabeth Kiger. Carol was born October 12, 1941 in Chicago, IL to the late Anthony and Anne Escobedo. She attended Taylor Grade School and graduated from Jones Commercial High School where she was the secretary of her class. In 1960, Carol married George T. Geiger and they began their life of 50 years together. Carol led an active life and was always involved with her church. She was her Women's Deanery Representative for Saint Charles Borromeo Church in Florida. A Celebration of Carol's Life and Memorial Mass will be held Friday, December 3, 2010 in Orlando, FL. A Memorial Celebration will be held Saturday, December 4, 2010 at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL at 11:00 a.m. in The Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carol's loving memory may be made to "Brother's Keeper" affiliated with Saint Charles Borromeo Church in Florida.
