SALLY MAE TURNER EAST CHICAGO, IN Sally Mae Turner of East Chicago, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at St. Margaret Hospital in Dyer. Survived by three daughters: Alberta Fluellen, Renella Johnson, both of Lima, OH and Betty (George) Ford of Merrillville; five sons: Clarence Dawson of Henderson, KY, Henry (Janice) Turner, Jr., Hiawatha Turner and Harold (Willie Mae) Turner, all of Merrillville and Arthur (Marchelle) Turner of Hammond; 20 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; three sisters: Ocie Dawson, Lucille Lyles and Leola Scott, all of Lima, OH; one brother, Harrison Dawson of Lima, OH; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by husband, Henry Turner Sr.; and daughter, Mattie M. Turner. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at New Community Baptist Church, 5461 Calumet Ave., Hammond with Rev. Patrick Gillis, Pastor and Rev. Paul Buck officiating. Interment at Evergreen Memorial Park in Hobart. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July19, 2011 at New Community Baptist Church from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., prior to the funeral service. Hinton & Williams Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
