GAYLE D. DADO (NEE GYURE) WHITING, IN Gayle D. Dado (nee Gyure), 63 of Whiting, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2011 at St. Catherine Hospital, East Chicago. She is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years, Joseph R. Dado; loving mother of Debra Dado, Joe Dado, Suzanne (John Pramuk) Dado and Michael Dado; adoring grandma of Joey, Stella, Crystal, Jake, Booker and Cecilia; cherished sister of Chloe (Allen) Pokracki, Delilah Gyure, Kevin Gyure, and the late Douglas Gilman Gyure; dearest sister-in-law of Scott Dado and Patty (Jack) Enright; dear aunt to several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Sandi Mendralla. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at 5:30 p.m. at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th St., Whiting with Rev. C. James Facklam of the Plymouth Congregational Church of Whiting officiating. Friends are invited to meet with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to time of services. Gayle Dado was born on July 24, 1948 in Hammond, IN to Louis and Dolores (Keister) Gyure. She was a longtime resident of the Whiting Robertsdale Community and a graduate of Hammond Tech, Class of 1966. She was a former employee of the Phil Smidt & Son Restaurant, the Condes Deli and Café Roosevelt. Gayle loved to spend time in her garden, to cook and bake for her family, play computer games, but above all, to spend time with her grandchildren.
