I've never met someone like Joel. He was caring and generous and a wonderful person. I'll never be able to listen to Going to California by Led Zepplin again without the constant reminder of what a wonderful person we have lost.

Joel was a person that made you smile when he walked into the VFW. He was a very proud grandfather and had pictures to prove it. He loved his family and seemed to enjoy his life. I will always remember his smile and his conversations.
