LOUIS J. MANNION "LOUIE" HAMMOND, IN
Louis J. Mannion, age 80, of Hammond passed away Sunday, November 18, 2012. Louie was a loving husband of 52 years to Trudy; devoted father to five children: Dr. June Mannion of Cary, IL, Randy Mannion of Hammond, Pat (James) Rowe of Elmhurst, IL, Ryan (Donna) Mannion of Porter, Dr. Laura Mannion of Miller Beach; loving grandfather to four grandchildren: Garrett and Graeme Rowe, Michael and Molly Mannion; one brother, Michael (Sharon) Mannion of Monticello; one brother-in-law, Ray (late Beverly) Lukowski of Hammond; two sisters-in-law, Helen (late Robert) Mannion of Munster, Theresa (late Stanley) Lukowski of Hegewisch; several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and good friends. Preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 24, 2012 beginning with 9:30 a.m. prayers at Solan-Pruzin Funeral Home, 7109 Calumet Ave., Hammond, IN and a 10:00 a.m. Mass at St. John Bosco Church with Fr. Richard Orlinski officiating. Burial at St. John Cemetery in Hammond. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, November 23, 2012 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at the Solan-Pruzin Funeral Home. Prayer service 2:30 p.m. Louie was a lifelong area resident. He was a member of St. John Bosco Church and a Eucharistic Minister. Louie was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels. He was retired from Blab Knox and was a Korean War veteran.
