HAROLD J. "BUD" WIERS HIGHLAND, IN
Harold J. "Bud" Wiers of Highland passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2012. Bud is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Alma (nee Sjoerdsma); one son, Tom (Shelly) Wiers of Crown Point; three daughters: Cindy (Ron) Sefcik of Crown Point, Connie Woroszylo of Lowell, and Debbie (Dave) Montalvo of Highland; fourteen grandchildren: Tom Jr., Tiffany, Ron Jr., Christina, DeeAnna, Amanda, Nicholas, Trevor, Brett, David Jr., Marissa, Travis, Lydia, and Trent; one sister, Nora (Paul) Hollinger of Florida; sister-in-law, Martha Wiers; and many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all. Funeral services for Bud will be held on Monday, November 26th, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Kuiper Funeral Home and officiated by Rev. Paul Ipema. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, November 25, 2012 from 3:00-8:00 PM. Bud was a member of Community United Reformed Church of Schererville and he retired from Roseland Metal Products after fifty years of machining at various locations. He was also a veteran of the US Army during the Korean Conflict. www.kuiperfh.com
