Samuel "Sam" Bozack, 71, of Tempe, AZ, formerly of Hammond and Schererville, IN, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2012 surrounded by many family and friends. He was born on June 25, 1941. Sam is survived by his loving wife, Sharlene "Shar" (Spoerner) Bozack and his son, Kevin (Kristy) Bozack of Mesa, AZ; his daughter, Samantha Bozack of Edwardsville, IL; his granddaughter, Karie Denise of Edwardsville, IL; sisters: Nancy (Dennis) O'Donnell of Highland, IN, Susan Newhart of Lake Station, IN; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Samuel Bozack Sr. and Elizabeth Bozack; and his nephew, Scott Babe. Sam was retired from Inland Steel as a Laborer Foreman, but in his last years in life, he was working for Don's Pilot Car, which he absolutely loved. Prior to moving to Arizona, Sam spent many years at Shafer Lake at his cottage partying with his family and friends on his boat. He loved to have his family and friends around him. A memorial service will be held at King of Glory Lutheran Church in Tempe, AZ at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to , 1510 E. Flower Street, Phoenix, AZ 85014 or to King of Glory Lutheran Church, 2085 E. Southern Ave., Tempe, AZ 85282.
