Margarito Cavazos Obituary
Margarito Trinidad Cavazos of East Chicago, husband of Josefina Davila Cavazos, was received into the arms of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 2, 2012. Margarito was born in Laredo, Mexico on September 18, 1924. It was there that he met and married his beloved wife of 63 years, Josefina. Margarito was a decorated WWII Army veteran and a retiree of Inland Steel. Margarito enjoyed the simplicities of life; family visits, his comfy lounge chair, big screen TV and eating his wife's wonderfully cooked homemade Mexican meals. He also enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs games and listening to the music of Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson and Louis Armstrong. Margarito was preceded in death by his parents: Juan and Refugia; brothers: Felix, Reymundo, Rolando, and Alejandro; and sister, Coreen. He is survived by his brothers: Salvador, Juan de Dios, and Roberto; and sisters: Gloria, Ilda, Alicia Ana Maria, Maria Elisa, and Coki. Margarito was father to Maria (Spiros) Bamiagis, Lorenzo (Nancy) Cavazos, Cynthia (John) Schuyler, Steve (Wanda Vilma) Cavazos, and Lourdes (Roberto Tito) Cisneros. Margarito and Josefina are grandparents to Trino Cavazos, Roger (Eloisa) Cavazos, Regina (Ray) Cavazos Guillen, Christina (Michael) Ledezms, Jeanette (Donald) Payne, Anthony (Aubrey) Davis, Alex (Kristen) Bamiagis, Sophia Bamiagis, Roberto Gabriel Cisneros Jr., Reimundo David Cisneros, Brad and Steven Schuyler. Margarito was great grandfather to Alexia and Joaquin Cavazos, Mike Jr. and Lisette Ladezma, James and Derek Davis, Quinten and Daesha Payne, Isaiah and Adam Davis, Ravyn Branch, Hayley and Hannah Schuyler, and Ashton Schuyler. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 5, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. with Rosary at 6:00 p.m. in the Main Chapel at the Ridgelawn Funeral Home, 4201 West Ridge Road, Gary, IN 46408 (219) 980-5555. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Margarito will be deeply missed by his loving family and dear friends. God Grant Him Eternal Peace.
