Dennis D. Duranczyk, age 72, of Hebron, IN, formerly of Crete, IL, passed away Monday, January 21, 2013. Dennis is survived by his wife, Barbara "Bobbie" of 13 years; children: Carol (Monty) Haley, Susan (Scott) Miglin, and Robert (Kelli) Duranczyk; stepson, Joe (Cheryl) Cook; grandchildren: Nicholas and Jacob Haley, Casey and Amanda Miglin, and James Duranczyk; step grandchildren: Miranda (Jay) Byars, Dustin and Cassandra Brown, and Erin and Angela Cook; step-great grandchildren: Jr., Peyton and Jayden Byars, Joseph and Chloe Grabski; and brother, Leonard (Theresa) Duranczyk. He was preceded in death by his parents: Frank and Josephine Duranczyk; brother, Eugene Duranczyk; first wife, Karin Duranczyk; and stepdaughter, Lisa Brown. Dennis was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He and his brother, Leonard, owned and operated "Bass, Boat and Tackle" in Monee, IL. In 1982, Dennis opened a home-based product sales marina business "Fine Line Co". Dennis was an avid fisherman. Everyone who knew Dennis treasured his keen sense of humor and his ability to pitch-in and help with any project. In 1999, Dennis married Bobbie Cook. He quickly became a cherished member of her large extended family. Because of his organizational skills and ability to get the job done, he was a valued, beloved asset to our family. He will be greatly missed. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Geisen Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 624 N. Main St., Hebron, IN from 3:00-8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 25, 2013 at 10:30 AM at Geisen Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Hebron, IN with Pastor Robert Hughes officiating. Interment at Hebron Cemetery.
